Terms of use

Last updated October 4, 2026

Plain-language terms for using BuyerSide Auto's free tools and paid guides.

Who we are

BuyerSide Auto is a brand of Sutherland Real Estate Group, LLC, a California limited liability company. You can reach us at [email protected].

What our tools are, and aren't

BuyerSide provides screening tools and general information to help you ask better questions when buying a used car. Our checklists, guides, and calculators are not a mechanical inspection, legal advice, financial advice, or insurance advice, and they are not a guarantee about any vehicle, seller, or price.

Always get an independent pre-purchase inspection from a qualified mechanic you choose. Rules on titles, registration, emissions, and dealer fees vary by state, so check with your state DMV and other official sources. Talk to a qualified professional about loans, insurance, and legal questions.

Your decisions are yours

You decide whether to buy a vehicle and on what terms. BuyerSide isn't responsible for the condition of any vehicle, the conduct of any seller or dealer, or the outcome of any purchase.

Purchases

Paid guides are digital downloads. Purchases are processed by our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy, which handles payment, sales tax, and receipts. See our refund policy: 30 days, no questions asked.

Using what you buy

Your purchase is for your own personal use, including sharing it with your household. Please don't resell, republish, or post our guides or worksheets publicly.

Accuracy

We work to keep information accurate and cite our sources. Information can change, and we can make mistakes. If you find something wrong, please tell us at [email protected].

Limits

To the extent the law allows, BuyerSide's total responsibility for any claim related to our tools or guides is limited to the amount you paid us for them.

Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
